Great Spacious Toy Box for a Girl or Boy

I bought this for my 1 1/2 yr old son at the time. It holds a lot of stuff. It's better than the lift to open type toy boxes Little Tikes offers (Americana Sort 'n Store(tm) Toy Chest or the Organizer Toy Chest). Those hold a lot also, but my niece has one & the kids' grandparents have the other, we've found the lids are hard to open on those, where this one just slides up into the box under the shelves. On the shelves I have all my sons books on the bottom shelf and stuffed animals on the top. The only issue was when he was younger was trying to reach the top shelf. I just didn't put anything up there until he was able to reach the items. If your little one, like most, likes to hide, you don't have to worry about suffocation, like I read on a review for another toy chest, as this isn't completely sealed. The lid can be easily removed also if you don't want to use it. Many of my family & friends say my son's play room looks like they walked into toys'r us because he has so many toys. This holds quite a bit! The sides are not tall either like the other 2 chests listed above allowing smaller children to be able to reach into the chest to pull out those favorite toys! I would highly recommend spending a little more on this to get a nicer chest!

Very sturdy

Very well constructed. I don't worry about this product tipping over even though it is on carpet it sits level on the floor. The door slides down nice and easy and it don't come all the way down at the bottom, which prevents little fingers from being caught and injured. The inside compartment is very roomy and allows for a large number of toys. You may want to monitor and secure items placed on the top shelf to prevent items from falling over. This product is very easy to move from room to room, and less bulky than it looks. You can enjoy many years with this product, it is very durable.
