Love this stroller

by C. Chiu 2010-03-17

We bought this stroller when we were looking for an umbrella stroller. It has been just great. We have traveled on planes with it, taken it shopping, and even traveled up and down the hills of San Francisco with it. Mine came with a rain cover that proved useful when we were out traveling. My daughter fit well in it at six months and is still using it at age two as well. I can see her using it for longer as well. The basket underneath is big enough to hold my purse and shopping bags. We use this stroller now much more than our much larger graco travel system stroller. The wheels turn well and are easy to lock and unlock as needed. The straps are also easy to use and unfasten as needed. Great product.

Good Value

by USA Mom 2008-05-07

I purchased this stroller because I was tired of having to kick the breaks on my Maclaren stroller in order to lock them. This stroller, which is a very similar style to the more expensive Maclaren strollers, is very well priced for everything it offers. The seat back is very easy to adjust, the breaks work great and the handles are a dream (even for tall people). I was hoping that the sun visor would attach with a hinged bracket to adjust to the sun's position, like the less expensive C6 model, but sadly it doesn't. Also, the foot rest stows in the up position so every time you open the stroller you have to put it down. That being said, I would still highly recommend it.

Great portable stroller

by D. Wiegand 2008-04-20

This is a great portable stroller. Not as compact as those cheapy umbrella strollers you can buy for $20, but this is so much easier to use. The wheels roll great, the storage is great, the adjustable seat is so easy to recline or incline. I would recommend this for those people consider a portable stroller. It doesn't collapse as small as the cheap ones, but again, it is so much better. Spend the extra money.

well worth the money!

by Nicole DiCori 2008-03-22

Where to begin? I scoured the internet for the best umbrella stroller for my money, one with the best features without breaking my bank. I found it in the Chicco C5. I am a 5'8" woman, my husband is 6'3", and I had previously not been able to find an umbrella-type stroller that was comfortable to push. This one has HIGH handles; I love it! It is also easy to steer one-handed. The seat reclines almost to a full recline; the recline level is up to you due to the sliding adjustment tether. The leg rest is a nice added feature. All four wheels can lock; good for when my youngest son's older brothers try to take him for a ride. The mechanism to lock the stroller in the open position is great; it has a pedal, no pinched feet! The basket underneath is fine; large enough to hold my purse and some diaper items. It is hard to get into the basket with the seat fully reclined, but I solved that by adjusting where the strap that holds the top of the basket is placed. It snaps around the side legs just above one of the joints for the folding arms; I simply unsnapped the strap and resnapped it underneath the joints. The stroller still folds fine. The canopy comes with a removable back cover which has a pocket to store things, something I wasn't aware of when I purchased the stroller but am pleased with. The whole stroller took less than five minutes to assemble, and I didn't need to open the instructions. My only "complaint" is that the canopy doesn't rotate fully, something my Quattro Tour's canopy did; but I knew this when I bought it and am still very happy I spent the money on this stroller.

Chicco C5 Stroller Sydney

by Ballet Cookie 2007-12-27

Very timely delivery. Well-made, sturdy, rolls along easily, and the handles are at a really comfortable height for average & tall adults. Good-sized, sturdy sunshade with zip-out back so seat can recline. There is a medium-size storage rack for a baby bag at the back/bottom of the stroller. Also has a convenient separate pocket on the back of the seat to hold the included rain cover so you can access it quickly in case of sudden showers. Comes with one plastic clamp-type cup holder bracket on right side handle for easy adult access. Easy to push when open, but heavier to carry than most typical "umbroller"-type stroller; but again sturdier than most. Love it...Good buy!
