Served it's function for years!
by Scarlete
I bought a Graco Pack n Play similar to this 3 years ago and so far it's gone through 2 babies. It's extremely durable! Easy to set up, take down, and move around.
I used it beside my bed for sleeping while they were young. When they got older, I took off the "top layer" and used it for a variety of things. It's been a place to keep them safe (and me sane) while I clean, while one plays with a toy the other one doesn't want to "share" and on occasion, it's been a place where either one of my babies napped, or a visiter's baby napped.
This is especially useful if you've got toys with many peices, like sorters or the like. I can put either of my children in there (they're 1 and 3 now) and they can play with a toy w/o having it strewn all over the house. I don't lose pieces, AND there is less struggling over who's turn it is.
Eventually they will learn to play well together (and really, they can now, just now and again they can't decide what belongs to who...) but in the meantime this has been a lifesaver!
Basically, when you go out to get one, you're just going to have to decide which features you really need. I liked the top layer (that was easily removable yet stable while in use) and I never used the changer. The one I have has an option for vibration, music and lights, but none of those were very essential. Though they like to push those buttons now.
The basic model will do just as much for you as one with a lot of bells and whistles, but I really recommend getting one that has a second "layer" for while they're young.
