Description:
Most of the modern products we see today strive to announce their arrival through bold colors and graphic patterns. Area bedding, however, bucks the trend. Everything about the collection appeals to our organic, serene modern side. Basic colors that are always in style. . . whites, blues, greys, tans. . . on fabrics that feel like a breath of fresh air against your skin. Area's mission is simple: original designs, natural fibers, and long-lasting beauty and comfort. Area bedding will make your bedroom more serene and simple. Classic even. 100% natural fibers make these sheets very easy to maintain and care for (even the linen lines) -- so both the appearance and quality will last.

bright and cheery!

by V de V

my husband is from germany, where, it turns out, most people (at least the ones i've encountered) might share beds, but not comforters - each very sensibly sleeps with his/her own. thus, no fighting over who gets the blankets at night... and, hey, we are still together 20 years later.

so... i was looking for 2 twin size, lightweight, 100% pure cotton duvet covers to put over our individual feather comforters, in colors that would go well with my fabulous 650 threadcount aqua colored sheets, and this was perfect! from the price and description, i was pretty certain the cotton wasn't the highest threadcount, but, heck, you gets what you pays, and besides, that's what we get good quality sheets for (to put between us and rough cotton).

on the other hand, i was pleasantly surprised to find that the fabric seems pretty good quality, not too thin - just simple and straightforward stuff. both the quality and cheerful design remind me of what i've found for sale in germany over the years.

they don't tell you which of the pillow shams you'll receive with the twin, by the way, and i'd wondered how they worked that out. apparently they just reach into some bag and pull out any pillowcase that comes to hand - one of our twins arrived with a blue case, the other with a green (both made from the same fabric as the duvet cover -so they match perfectly). which is fine with me - they're both really cute.

oh, and i appreciate that the duvet covers have zipper closures - over the years, i've had LOTS of duvet cover experience, and the button ones always gap and then the buttons fall off (even off expensive duvet covers!), and those that close at the very end of the cover always look kind of sloppy (with the comforter peeking out).

i've washed the items a couple of times so far, and they're really holding up perfectly. overall, i'm very happy with the purchase. even my husband likes it, even if he says it's a little "girly" (but not bad) :D
