Nice, but a little small

The dresser looks great and matches the crib perfectly, but I was a little disappointed at how small it seems. It is definitely a dresser made just for babies and toddlers. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Things to know before buying

I really love the look of this dresser and how quickly I recieved it. Putting it together took me 4 hours single handed so with more help may take less time. Directions were a little tricky as far as which piece is which but it wasn't that hard to figure out. My biggest complaint is the drawers after assembly they go in fine but get stuck a little at the end I have to push a little harder to get them to shut all the way. The bottom of the drawers are also thin pieces of wood that don't quite fit the drawer so it slides up and down but again not that big of a deal. Another concern is the inside of the cabinet the two shelves just sit inside which is not sturdy. It would be alot better if there were more pegs to keep the top shelf steady. The bottom one is litteraly just placed and slides back and forth and can come out with ease which is not a good thing for the little ones. The look overall is very nice and I didn't have any problems with scratches I even dropped a piece an it didn't scratch. Mostly just minor things to keep in mind but maybe not something you would want to deal with for the amount of money you would be spending on this product.

Nice changer/dresser

The dresser came with one piece that was dented. We called the manufacturer and they sent a replacement piece free of charge right away. It took a bit of time to put together, but looks great. I do wish the stain was a bit darker, it seems a little bit lighter than the matching Kalani Crib in Espresso. Overall, we're happy with it though.

Good Design for Changer, Excellent value

We purchased the White colored dresser (and Kalani crib to match). I wouldn't say that this is the most high-end piece that I've seen, but at $329 it is an incredible value. It was extremely easy to put together and it feels very sturdy. The drawers do have gliders instead of bearings (like my Cocoon 5000 dresser). The design is perfect for a changing table. The little rasied drawer on the right will keep the baby from kicking the changing gear: very nice. The finish on the white version is really beautiful. We ended up buying some $0.97 wooden knobs from Home Depot and painting them pink to match the rest of our nursery. It's a very nice touch. I would recommend the white model if your looking for good value.

DaVinci Kalani Dresser

This is the WORST dresser ever! Especially since it is for a baby's room! Putting it together was a nightmare, parts were missing that we had to have resent. It is a very cheaply manufactured product that should never be sold for a children's room. The drawers fall apart every time you open them because the pieces don't lock together correctly. When trying to get the company to send replacement parts, they refused to respond. After sending a dozen emails and constantly calling, it took them 8 months to finally respond, just to send more cheap materials. And the bottom of the drawer is nothing but a thin piece of board that barely holds clothes. This is not something you want in a child's room where they can really hurt themselves. The dresser looks nice but it is complete crap. It scratches and marks very easily. Go with better quality furniture, your child's life is at risk!
