A Great Pre-Natal Multi Vitamin

I was looking for a vitamin that didn't upset my stomach and was highly absorbable. This one is great. It doesn't upset my stomach and it doesn't taste too bad either going down. Some of the food based pre-natal vitamins I have tried taste awful! This one is worth the extra money in my opinion.

I love these vitamins! They provide a reasonable amount of supplemental nutrition without going overboard (unlike so many other vitamins on the market that give you several hundred % of the RDA for pregnant women), with the exception of folic acid, which is at 200% the RDA, and vitamin B-6, with about 63% more than the RDA. These are higher because they are especially important in pregnancy: folic acid helps prevent neural tube defects, and vitamin B-6 can help prevent or reduce certain birth defects as well as nausea and vomiting.
These vitamins are made from whole food, so they are gentle on the stomach. I went through at least eight other vitamins before finding these, and these were the only ones that didn't stimulate nausea. I can take them on an empty stomach, and if I take them when I'm feeling nauseated, they help calm the nausea. Wonderful!
I prefer the herb-free variety since many of the herbs used in this brand and others are not proven safe during pregnancy. Better safe than sorry.
